About TuneGirl!

Zoe Hobby is a freelance musician in Tifton, GA. After earning her bachelor's degree from Shorter College, she taught choral and general music in public schools for more than 16 years. She serves as accompanist, clinician, and composer/arranger for various churches and school groups, and is currently the pianist for Tift Co. High School's show choir, the Eighth Street Singing Company. She also teaches private voice and piano, and is pursuing her MMEd degree from Auburn University.

Zoe wrote her first song at age 10 for a 5th-grade social studies project, and has been writing ever since. She has written praise and worship songs, piano and vocal solo works of varying genres, novelty numbers for men’s and women’s choirs, and seasonal pieces for younger choirs. She has also arranged hymn tunes, spirituals, pop tunes, and collaboratively created competition shows for show choirs. Her arrangements for show choir have also involved writing for an ever-changing band.

This website represents a new adventure for Zoe. Her work in the choral realm to this point, while extensive, has been mainly for practical purposes, writing for choirs for the sole purpose of performance rather than publication. She is anxious to expand her skills, her musical experiences, and her portfolio, and hopes that you will come along for the ride.
